Project Steele
Whole home renovation and furnishing in Coto de Caza, California
Our clients at Project Steele purchased a home that had recently been renovated, aka “flipped.” The problem was that the seller used cheap finishes and didn’t put much thought into the details of, well, anything.
The starting point was gray and sterile, and our goal was to bring warmth and charm to this darling cottage style home. Strand Interiors’ scope included space planning, color selection, kitchen design, bathroom design, and selecting finishes, materials and furnishings for the majority of the home. The open floorpan was our biggest challenge, and we used furniture and architectural details to create separation between spaces. We even opted to remove a window in the kitchen so that we could relocate the range and create some much needed symmetry. Once you see the plaster range hood, I think you’ll agree sacrificing the window was worth it.
Using wallpaper, fun fabrics, and a variation of wood tones we designed a layered and cozy space for this young family. All the details will be on the blog soon!
