Before and after: cheerful coastal in north county San Diego

The clients came to Strand Interiors when they were in escrow. Upon closing, they would only have a few weeks to update every surface and fixture in the house before moving to sunny San Diego from Northern California. 

They felt stressed by the accelerated timeline, had a limited budget and were eight hours away, but over phone calls and FaceTime we quickly honed in on a design direction for the home.

After a marathon day looking at samples for paint colors, flooring, carpet, tile, plumbing fixtures and lighting, we narrowed down our selections. The clients were amazing in their decision-making and trusted my guidance along the way. Since this project was partly remote, I provided a detailed list to the contractor with instructions for each room. A few site visits and many texts and phone calls later, the home was transformed at record-speed. 

The family with three college-aged kids wanted a casual and cheerful coastal retreat where they could entertain large groups and make memories for years to come - and I think we achieved just that! Compare the result to the listing photos below, and see more photos in our portfolio.
